AFC Wetley Victoria Saturday Team excepted into Staffs County

We are proud to announce our Saturday team has been excepted into the Staffs County Football League folllowing a successful AGM meeting.

Leigh Robinson and Ken Whitehead commented to WVTV " we can now finally put everything we have been planning for over 6 months into action, and build a team which can compete for years to come."

When asked what you expect from your season, Leigh commented " Our main priority is to establish ourselves within the Staffs County League, as many people will know the 1st season for a new team is the hardest.

Leigh also commented

"Having Ken and Craig Whitehead onboard we've been given a brillant head start with there connections within local football, with Ken having brillant success in the past with The Grapes and other teams, Ken is a well respected person within the football communtity of Staffordshire"

The standard of players interested in our project has been very surprising to say the least, we've recieved alot of postive feedback from the football communitity in the way we are going about it. We just want to bring a fresh new approach to grassroots football and build something really special for years to come.
